Admissions criteria
Candidates with a 1st cycle studies, 2nd cycle studies, or long-cycle studies diploma may apply for admission to the study programme.
The admission procedure shall be based on the entrance examination of the candidate's artistic abilities and the interview.
1. Playing the instrument/singing:
- performing one piece of music of choice on an instrument and singing one vocal piece of choice (duration of each piece: up to 3 minutes). In the case of performing a work requiring accompaniment, the candidate should ensure the participation of the accompanist themselves.
Scores: 1 — 10 pts.
2. Auditory training with elements of harmony:
- oral test.
Scores: 1 — 10 pts.
3. Conducting:
- conducting a selected vocal, instrumental or vocal-instrumental piece, the excerpt of which shall be performed by an accompanist on the piano.
Choice of one of the following works:
- G. Perti – Inter vestibulum,
- A. Bruckner – Locus iste,
- J. Świder – Miracles and Wonders.
- F. Schubert - Messe G-dur (Kyrie).
Scores: 1 — 10 pts.
4. Interview:
- interview on general musical knowledge and motivation for the choice of the study programme and major.
Scores: 1 — 10 pts.
Scores: 1 to 40 points; positive result: from 21 points.
The candidate's final score is the sum of the points obtained from the individual elements of the admission procedure. A positive final result shall be a minimum score of 21 points.
Admission for the study programme shall be determined by the place on the ranking list created based on the sum of points obtained in the admission procedure.
In the case of persons admitted for the 2nd cycle studies with a teacher training programme with a documented partial pedagogical preparation (in line with the ministerial guidelines for training in preparation for the teaching profession – cf. Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 25 July 2019, i.e., Journal of Laws of 2021, item 890), a verification of this preparation (the modules passed, learning outcomes, ECTS points and the number of hours completed) shall be conducted to eliminate or complete the differences in curricula. These differences may be due to the different permissible order of delivery of the teaching-learning outcomes for a particular course of study in other higher education institutions.
If a student has to participate in compensatory activities, the student shall be obliged to pay a fee which shall be determined based on separate provisions
