Admissions criteria
Candidates who have obtained a bachelor's degree, majoring in education related to the field of the arts, discipline of fine arts and art conservation.
In the case of candidates in related disciplines, the decision on admission procedure shall be taken by the committee based on an analysis of the learning outcomes obtained and the programme of completed studies.
Job interview and work review.
Interview – verifying individual artistic interests, knowledge of art history and understanding of art issues.
Work review – presentation of a set of original artworks representing the candidate's work to date (can be undergraduate artwork; maximum of 20 works included); portfolio may be included. It is also necessary to make available for inspection a supplement to the diploma of graduating with a Bachelor's degree.
Scores: 1 to 20 points, positive result: from 7 to 20 points.
NOTE: Those who have received a very good grade from a Bachelor diploma exam in the fields of Fine Arts Education and Graphic Arts shall be exempted from the admission procedure for 2nd cycle studies. The admission for the study programme shall be based on the assessment of the required documents submitted by the candidate after registration in the Online Candidate Registration System (IRK).
NOTE: 2nd cycle studies in this field shall give eligibility to practice as a teacher.
In the case of persons admitted for the 2nd cycle studies with a teacher training programme with a documented partial pedagogical preparation (in line with the ministerial guidelines for training in preparation for the teaching profession – cf. Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 25 July 2019, i.e., Journal of Laws of 2021, item 890), a verification of this preparation (the modules passed, learning outcomes, ECTS points and the number of hours completed) shall be conducted to eliminate or complete the differences in curricula. These differences may be due to the different permissible order of delivery of the teaching-learning outcomes for a particular course of study in other higher education institutions.
If a student has to participate in compensatory activities, the student shall be obliged to pay a fee which shall be determined based on separate provisions.
The candidate for the study programme shall be required to submit an appropriate medical certificate for the absence of a medical contraindication before the exams to study this study programme.
